In July 2007 I was approached by Chris Jones (Director, Living Spirit Pictures) and Ivan Clements (Producer, With It Films) to shoot the stills for their up coming short film Gone Fishing.
Gone Fishing was shot on 35mm, and directed by Chris Jones. It is the moving story of a young boy and old man as they deal with bereavement through their love of fishing. The tale is wrapped around Old Bill’s story of how when he was a boy, he tried to catch the worlds biggest pike.
The film was shot at Bury Hills Fisheries in Dorking and at Ealing Studios in August 2007. It stars Bill Patterson and introduces young James Wilson, an astonishing newcomer to the big screen. It also stars Devon Murray from the Harry Potter series and British actresses Lin Blakley and Ruth Gemmel.
‘Gone Fishing’ was completed in January 2008 and premiered at BAFTA for family, cast and crew, on January 12tth
Since the BAFTA premier Gone Fishing has won awards at many film festivals internationally including,
